I'm Taylor Escobar I am 14 years old I was born and raised in ventura CA, and I was born on August 15, 2014. My Dad is from ecuador and my mom is from Arizona. I Have a younger brother he is 12 years old and goes to balboa. My brother is one of the biggest reasons why I am the person i am today. I can't remember anytime that my brother was not there. One of the reasons I am happy that I have a younger brother is that it keeps me stronger. Also i play the role of “mother” when my parents work he relies on me there not much things he can do without me there helping. My dad or i call him (papi) is another huge part in our life he. Is a firefighter for the LAFD and has been ever seen i can remember. My dad is a role model to me he came to this country not knowing english and now he is a firefighter he is the LAFD union secretary and appears and the spanish news every now and then. He makes my life the way it is and gives me what i need to succeed in life. The only thing that just sucks is he works days at a time sometimes i get use to him not being home (its not a good feeling). But i would never tell him that He is out there saving lives and providing for his family and he is a wonderful dad. I also come from ax family and ecuadorians. I love that when i am with my grandma and grandpa that they give so much more they give a different splash to my culture. My moms side parents passed away and that by far is one of the hardest things i have ever had to go through. They lived in fillmore so i was with them all the time every weekend as for my dads parents live in Downey it just a longer drive. when they left it was hard it was like taking away the ability to walk. and right after that my dads mom had a brain aneurism and could only speak spanish so every other week end i would go over there to teach her english and understand what she needed. After those experts i realized the value of the people in my life and to never take someone for granted. And the last most important thing in my life is softball. I have been playing softball every sence t-ball. softball wasn't always something i was good at i use to suck but, i loved to play. As I grew older i knew that if i wanted to take it somewhere i would need to practice more and become way better than i was. So then softball became what i did all the time even with my dad not home all the time i found a way to play. And coming to foothill and playing softball here is way better than i even suspected i know that so many more doors have opened and i am grateful for that. so when you think about what makes you you and what creates your world it's sometimes hard to say but theres always more to your life then you could ever explain.
