I was born in Los Angeles. I lived in a normal house and lived a normal life, then I moved to another house still in L.A. The new house I was living at wasn't as nice. Because there were troubled kids that gave us some problems and there have been some shootings near by. I lived next to a wash and lost a lot of toys from falling into it. I've been going to a private school for the past four years and did well. My dad has been working for the District Attorney, and has also been a bailiff while we were in L.A. My dad got a job in Ventura. For almost a year my Dad would leave Sunday evening and wouldn’t be back until Friday night. Things in L.A were ok, but in Ventura things got a lot better. The commute wasn’t bad anymore, friendlier, safer, more to do in Ventura than in L.A. In Ventura I got to shape myself more as to where I could be more of what wanted to be. I got to meet lots of new people and do lots of new things such as Junior Lifeguards, various sports, Sea Cadets. I went to a class for a week that taught me how to use, save, and budget money when I was twelve. Junior Lifeguards was really fun and shaped me into a potential life saver. When I started school in Ventura I went to another private school it definitely wasn’t the best four years of school. I had some mean, and over-reactive, and non-rational teachers. As well as lots of disruptive rowdy guys and a few loud girls who got the diplomatic immunity treatment all the time. I was able to build a lot of patience while attending there. While attending the school I found out about the Sea Cadets a program for teens interested in the Armed Forces. I got the chance to go to Boot Camp, in turn for my winter break. I learned lots of discipline, furthered my patience, learned lots. I got the chance to go to another advanced training which the program offers, I took Medical. I further extended my life saving capabilities and at providing treatment for a variety of things. I’ve gotten the chance to develop myself into a better human being through the many opportunities Ventura has to offer me. Ventura has shaped me by giving me chances to develop my characteristics. In Ventura I got to make closer bonds with friends and got to do more fun things, while creating memories. In L.A I was a shy person but now being able to trust more people, I became outgoing, and learned how to be more polite to people. Ventura has made me a more happier person, my family is happier here. Getting to live in Ventura is a wonderful privilege that I wouldn't want to take back for all the ways it’s shaped me.
