I was born in Ventura, California, on October 2nd, 2000 and raised their for about 5 years. I then moved to a little place called Lockwood Valley, due to my dad’s job. After 4 years, I once again moved back to Ventura, so, I can say I’ve been raised in California my full life.
Ventura isn’t a huge city, and you don’t hear about much people being raised here and becoming a famous athlete, or the President of the United States, or anything for that matter, and it’s quite quiet and not to big or too small of a city to live in. But it is a great spot to live in. You could get to Los Angeles in less than a hour, or you could get to San Francisco in about two hours. Also, you could get to the beach in less than 15 minutes, and it’s not crazy expensive to live in, but it is expensive beyond all means. Over the years of doing nothing really, I somehow found an interest in what almost everyone is sick and tired of hearing, politics and Government.
Ventura isn’t really controlled by the Government that much, except the laws are very strict here, but the crime rate is surprisingly low. I decided to join Youth in Government, which is a program the YMCA has and I found out a lot more about Ventura than I would of thought of. Ventura has bright minds and wisdom among the kids and adults living their, and most schools are either very good at sports, or academics, but don’t go recognised because the city is not big. I then found out that the city actually does have crime and crazy people as well, but that might be because my dad is a Sheriff. Oddly enough, I took interest in business and becoming a defense attorney, but I could still learn a lot more.
If I was accepted into college, my knowledge on government and leadership would be recognised, and I could give back to the community that has raised me, and help them to the best of my ability. From their I plan on going to the federal level, and even running for President. If I won, I would represent Ventura very well, and Ventura could be more well known. And that’s the world I come from.
