Since I was born in April 2, 2000 I have lived in Ventura. Ventura is where most of my childhood memories are. It is where I was born, grow, learn, go to school, make friends, and have my good and bad days. I live in a small house with my mom, dad, sister which is now in college, 2 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs. Even though ventura is my home, Ojai is my second home.
Ojai is a cute little town. In some parts of Ojai it still has nature. It is not all ruined with a bunch of technology and buildings. You still get to experience the wildlife like deer, rabbits, vultures, and once in awhile the bald eagles. Ventura doesn't have all of this stuff. I love Ventura but I feel like ojai has a bigger part in my life.
Ojai is my happy place. It is where I don't have to worry about school. It is my stress free zone. In ojai I like to go to like casitas. It is where I spend most of my time with my closest friends. Also it is where I found my passion and found out who I really am. Ojai has shaped me into the person I am today.
Ojai is a special place for me because it is where I found my passion. My biggest passion is rowing. Rowing has made me into the person I am today. When I was little I got bullied a lot at school. It brought my self confidence down a lot and I was always stressed out. Also I was scared and didn't now want to do. That was a really hard time in my life. Then I found rowing. I rowed every week at lake casitas. Rowing helped me gain more confidence because it was the one thing that I really loved to do and that I am good at. Also the rowing community was awesome. Everyone is so nice and you know that they have your back. They helped me become a stronger person and have more confidence in me. If it wasn't for rowing I wouldn't be the person I am today.
