Growing up me and my grandmother chrysanthemum would always bond. My mom and dad were always at work. So in a way my grandma was always as close to me as my parents. And as her life is coming to an end... I try to remember all the wonderful memories we shared together.
Every Wednesday was half-day. I would wait by a little green gate outside of the school. And when her car pulled up i got the burst of joy. No matter bad me day she would say"Kaya no matter how bad your day was... i will always be here for you." Then she would treat me to lunch. her favorite spot was the super panda buffet. When we got home we would watch japanese movies. Loads you probably don't know except ponyo. We loved to eat Grandmas サッカー(sakkaboru/footballs). サッカー is a delicious rice pouch filled with rice and you can salmon in the rice.
My grandmother prefers Japanese and still doesn't know what a tater tot is. But i know that 桜(Sakura/cherry blossoms) is my favorite flower because it think it's beautiful. Or even that 猫 (cat/neko) is my favorite animal because japanese folklore has many cat storys. But many of these small things are things i remember or like the most. But she taught me that no matter how bad your day is even if it's 11:59 you can turn is around. That not everything is terrible. I will always love her and that will never change.
