I am so lucky to be growing up in Ventura, California. I was born here on May 2, 2001, and I’ve never moved or anything which is pretty amazing! Ventura is a great place to grow up.

I have a loving, fun, energetic and supportive family. I live with my mom, my dad, and my younger brother Michael. My mom's a teacher and my dad works at Arrowhead, the water company. It’s cool that my mom is a teacher because she gets to be home with my brother and I every summer for the whole summer. My dad also makes sure to spend a lot of quality time with my brother and I. I know my family will always be there to support me and encourage me. We are a close knit family!

Softball has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been playing since I was 5 years old, and I love it. It’s the one sport I can play that doesn’t cause me too much pain in my feet. I play 1st base and right field in softball. With me being left handed, those are the easiest and best positions for me. Being on a softball team helps me learn how to work well with others. My parents are very supportive and always come to my games even if I’m not playing. I really want to get a scholarship for softball and go to UCSB or USCCI.

Learning to deal with a birth defect is also a big part of who I am. I was born with Club Feet and have had multiple surgeries to reconstruct my feet. There have been many things that I haven’t been able to participate in because of my feet, but I am so grateful that I had wonderful doctors that were able to correct my deformity enough for me to live a fairly normal life. Living with Club Feet can be quite painful, but I have so much to be thankful for that I try to always stay positive.

I do not really know what I want to do when I grow up yet but I hope that within my next 4 years at Foothill I’ll be able to figure it out. I think I might want to do something that deals with kids because I love working with kids. I also kind of want to be a physical therapists. I’ve been to physical therapy multiple times and it seems like a fun and important job. I have so many wonderful influences in my life and I look forward to continuing to be a successful student. I am definitely planning to go to college and become a successful hardworking adult!
