I was born in Colorado in may 26, 2000. I moved from Colorado to Camarillo, California when I was 3. I lived there for 5 years until we moved to a small house in Santa Paula which really wasn’t that far. I lived there in Santa Paula throughout most of elementary school but moved to the house where I live now in Ventura. I moved there in the middle of the school year which would have been difficult had I not been going to the same school. Throughout all of the moves I never really settled in a school until I went to middle school.( I did say that I went to a school in both Ventura and Santa Paula but I was never confident that we would stay because of our previous moves) When I started middle school my love for learning really started to grow. I was constantly ready to learn something new and was always ecstatic when we would do labs and experiments in classes. I was especially interested in math and science, partially because my whole family has always had an extreme ability to understand math and comprehend science really well.
My family ,as I previously stated, is really good at math and science. My mom is a marine biologist and has taught biology at both high school and elementary levels. My dad is an electrician and is currently the lead electrician at Channel Island University. I have always had math and science around me but I never got serious on what I wanted to do with my career until recent events persuaded me. My dad has always strived to make me work hard and improve everything I did and do, “even if it your work is absolutely perfect there is always something you could add to it” he would say. I sometimes think that he is beeing a little to hard on me so I would think how awesome it would be to boss him around, well now that is actually a possibility.
I recently discovered that there is a job called an Electrical Engineer. Now what exactly does an Electrical Engineer do? Well they design all the lights and wires that an Electrician would fix or install. Not only that but they also plan where the wires and such will go. In order to become an Electrical Engineer I need to take many math classes as well as a few science classes, however I want to get at least a doctrine in both math and science in college. I hope I will be able to do this in college even though it might take me a long time. If I am able to do this it would allow me to get even more advanced jobs perhaps I might want to become a nuclear engineer. I hope I will be able to make my dream come true.
