bout 3 years ago my life changed in a big way. It definitely changed for the better. My brother and his friend took me to their mountain bike trail they rode all the time.We loaded up to go on my first trip to the trail. My rusty old bike in the back of his pickup truck. My brother showed me how to ride his trail and how to fail. Like in all sports, how you learn is how you fail. In my mind failing on something is better than getting it right the first time When you fail you learn.Just like In school you have to get a couple math problems wrong to finally figure out how to do the problem right .

The lessons I learned while I was riding the trails I transferred into how I approach school. The most memorable lesson I got from the trail is that life will throw you into the dirt but succeeding is how you get up. I learned that when you get up and try again that you will get closer to succeeding.I also learned that speed is not everything the faster you are going the harder it is to come back from a failure. When you are riding on a trail at 20 miles per hour, one small rock will send you off the bike and into the dirt. In math if you race through the problem and turn your work in you’ll get the problem wrong but you don't know why because you raced through the work. then you have to go back and relearn the work and the class moves along without you.

In my small community of mountain biking I have learned that you need to get up and keep pushing and never give up. My dream is to become a pilot so I need to get good grades and always try hard. From mountain biking I know that to succeed you must first fail many times but failure makes success much more sweet. To become a Pilot I must attend a good college and get good grades. College is a huge challenge to get into but mountain biking has changed the way I think so I know that to get to college I will have to make sacrifices. In the end I've learned to never give up.
