My name is Cassie Orosco and I was born on April 29, 2000 in Oxnard. I grew up in Oxnard with my mom,dad, and my older brother. We couldn't afford a house or even an apartment so we lived at my dads nana. Living with my dads nana for about 2 years, my dad and mom had finally made enough money to buy there own apartment. We all moved out, got our own apartment, and I started to feel like a normal family again.I was so happy as a kid and I couldn't ask for anything better. Unfortunately, my parents started to fight almost everyday and they just couldn't seem to get along, so they ended up breaking up and moving into there own houses.The break up hit me hard and all I wanted to do was cry, but instead of crying I occupied myself with music and friends.
Music really helped me get through their break up because it just helped me escape the sad stage I was in. The music I listened to always put me in a happy mood, so I would forget about what was really going on. Not only did music help me, but an other important thing that helped me were my friends. My best friend was always there for me when I had to one else to talk to. Just hanging out with her and making happy memories also took my mind off of my family life. She was the one to always put a smile on my face and with her being in my life, she really helped me stay strong. So for me, music and my friends helped me through tough times, and I now know even through the toughest of situation I can come out strong .
