The community that I live in is Ventura, California. I have 2 brothers the oldest is 17 and the youngest is 7 I am the middle child. I have lived here for 6 years of my life and I have lived in 2 other states. I was born on march 11th, 2000. I was born in Washington state, 5 minutes from the Canadian border. When I was 5 I moved to North Carolina, I lived there for a year then moved to Northern California and lived in a town called Redding, which is about 8 hours away from here. When I was 8 I moved to Ventura. The town I am from in Washington has around 65,000 people and there is a big difference between that town and here. In addition to the size some other differences are the weather, traffic, and culture. Ventura has around 100,000 people, has warmer weather and more traffic.
The schools I went to in Washington are called Custer elementary school and Horizon Middle school which are both great schools, but the best school by far is the one I am going to right now Foothill Technology High School(FTHS). This school is my favorite school because for one I am going to graduate from this school and also because Foothill has a great educational system. Foothill was/is ranked the 77th school in the nation out of around 500. Foothill has given me a chance to make new friends and discover my own potential in the ability to do my best in school because the things that are assigned are more challenging for me than the things that were assigned in middle school. I am also glad that I got accepted to Foothill because this is the first year of athletics/sports and I am apart of the Boys basketball team so I can get to experience the first year of FTHS sports.
The things that have shaped me and my life are my grandparents. When I graduate I want to go into the military to be a navy seal like my great great grandpa who has served for us and my other grandpa has also served for the army and was in the Vietnam war. I believe that this has shaped my life because I have lived all over the US and I want to travel more and with the navy I can do just that. I also want to join the navy because my grandparents before me have fought for this country and have risked there lives for us and I believe that I owe them for that.
