I was born in Angeles City, Philippines on December 29, 1999. I have 1 brother and 1 sister, I am the youngest child. In Philippines, I lived with my grandparents, Auntie, Uncle, my parents, and my siblings. Philippines is a island off the coast of Asia, right underneath Taiwan, and above Indonesia. At the age of 4 my family moved to America, leaving my Mom's side of the family, but had my Dad's side waiting for us there. Although leaving Philippines and part of my family, I met new family and a new, more stable home.
Once I started school, in Santa Barbara, it as kind of difficult due to my terrible english speaking skills and no one to translate. But, thanks to my Grandpa, he taught me some english to start off with. He taught english in an university in Philippines. But english was not the biggest obstacle. The culture and the way thing were done were also very different. While everyone else had snacks and pizza for lunch, I had a container of pork and a big clump of rice. I knew that I needed to fit in and not be an outcast. So I changed my appearance and everything else to try to be the most "American" I can be.
Years later, I moved south to this small city called Ventura. It being not as crowded, I kind of liked it. Still very young, I was starting 2nd Grade. While growing up, Hip-Hop definitely had a huge impact on my taste and how I view things. Im a big fan of Kanye West. Ever since the Taylor Swift incident everyone started disliking him, but this time, I stayed with what I liked and didn't care what people thought of me. I'm not going to change my opinions because everyone else is. This time I didn't mind being an outcast. I feel like he is very misunderstood and the media took things too far. But, still, to me Kanye is a genius and he influenced me with my perspective to things and sense of style and fashion.
My mom being a ER Nurse definitely encouraged me to take on the medical field. She always begged me to be a doctor but I didn't really want to. I thought of being a nurse but I changed my mind. After that phase, I wanted to be a Pharmacist. Then, after that, a Physical Therapist. But then, I finally wanted to be a doctor. But of course that was also a phase. So now, my ultimate goal is to be an Anesthesiologist, and here I am in high school, trying to pursue it.
